Heading there with Holly for lunch today. I have my camera and hungry tummy ready for a full report soon!

My Pompeia's Revenge salad. Very bland.

Holly's All Summer Long salad. Yum!

My Cactus Chili. It was sweet. Weird.
Holly took me to the House of Greens on Lima Rd. and it was not a very good experience for me. I would try it again, though. I think I just ordered the wrong things.

New Restaurant Review: Noodle Bowl
10350 Coldwater Rd
Fort Wayne, IN 46825
(260) 490-8595
A few days ago, I received a message from Truc telling me that Noodle Bowl has just opened up where Siam House used to be in the Pine Valley shopping area at Coldwater and Dupont. Matt and I checked it out yesterday and we liked it pretty well! Our friends weren’t able to join us, so we’ll have to bring them next time.
Atmosphere: Medium-sized space, with tables well spread out for privacy. Quiet.
Food: The menu included a variety of noodle soup and pan-fried noodle dishes from different Asian countries, as well as appetizers, salads (I believe), and fried rice options. I thought they were reasonably priced for lunch; nearly all the main dishes ranged from $6-8.
Matt got the Hibachi special, which included steak, sesame chicken, wild rice, soup, and salad.
I got N3 from the menu, which was listed as chicken and rice noodles in a broth with watercress, onions, cilantro. I really wanted the udon noodle soup, but it didn’t come with vegetables. Instead, I substituted udon noodles for the rice noodles and they charged me a dollar extra. I really wanted those udon noodles, and they were worth it.

The flavor of the broth was really mild and I could taste a hint of fish sauce, which reminded me of similar soup dishes my Mom has made at home. I added two teaspoons of the chili sauce to spice it up and I think I finished most of it before I got too full. My noodle soup came with a tasty little dish of pickled cabbage (among other shredded veggies) instead of soup and salad.
Matt’s was yummy, too!
Staff: Very friendly and accommodating. We could tell they were still trying to get their footing since they just opened last Wednesday (April 29), but they were doing a good job.
Our final verdict is you should check it out :)
